I hope this is somewhat in the general interest to let you guys know that the rear window seal that has been pretty much NLA or available only between 3 to 500US$ is now available again. I wanted to have a new one for my 308 restoration project and had some extra ones made in order to recoup some expenses. I installed the new one into my car and it fits perfectly. I have installed an original one in the past and the new one fits just as well. I am selling them for 75$ and anybody who may be interested can contact me at 818 896 4006.

Should this post be considered shameless selfpromotion please inform me and direct to the proper channels :)

    Thanks
    Helmut

Where were you a couple years ago?? Just kidding, but if you made a new early GTS front window rubber seal I might be in the market (the NOS one I bought was heavy on the "O" part of NOS) .

Dang, I have a new one still in the box I ended up not needing when I had the car painted. I had no idea they were in short supply.

That's what I thought, the "O" certainly doesn't make this vintage piece of rubber more valuable when the only one I could find was 500$ for the UK without shipping :(
What did the early front window rubber seals look like? Anybody have a picture of it?

Actually yours should be the same as mine. It's the seal that goes from one door frame up around the top of the windshield and down the other door. The one the top seals against in the front.

Check at www.velocespace.com . I think they have the seals for the rear quarter windows (as I think they are the same on 308 & 328s).

    Best regards,
    Dino

Mine was glued in, seems like it wasn't original. I would love to check out one of those seals and try to make new ones if there was one around.... anybody?

oooohhh, nopw I get it, you are talking about the seal that seals the front of the doors and top? Right? its not a rubber seal to hold the windshield in place that you are talking about?
You can get those from Rutlands. Expensive but available. I bought one, the quality wasn't as good as on the original.

Yep that's the one I was talking about. Sorry, I knew we were not on the same page before but haven't taken the time to look for or take a pic of what I was explaining.

I agree, I bought a new one but it started showing wear and splitting less than a year later. And yes it was spendy.
