308 registry? Any interest?

Its alot of work... Are you thinking of covering all models of 308? There are already specific model registries out there now:

Peter's registry was the original for GT4s, and he doesn't blather about it in every thread about the cars.


Back to the original question, running a registry takes time (I'm about 500 entries behind right now) Given that the 308 covered 3 body styles (5 with Mondials) and 3 engine combinations, that's a lot of cars. Looks like there's a need for the GT(x)i models though

 

Thanks for the kind words Tillman. There have been other GT4 registries started up in the past, pre-internet, which didn't last. Now, with the widespread use of the 'net and instant access, hopefully mine may help someone out there. And even then, the other GT4 register mentioned is also helpful (its in my "Links" page), since they are more interested in gatherings and info-exchange, whereas with my site I am strictly concentrating on a central database of S/N's - That's my only interest.

Flashman, don't be discouraged. It took me three years to gather numbers on my own, but networked with other owners/enthusiasts who have done the same through chat/forum's like this, which really helped me along. It's a good start to mention this here if you want to create your own. Like Tillman says, no one has a GTBi/GTSi registry. That's a start...

 

I'd like to see a registery for the 308 GTS/GTSi cars. If the GTB's have one why not us???

If you look real close, you can see the hand built nature of the car, almost down to the factory fingerprints. LOL!

 

Actually from inspecting the "Model Master List" there are more 308 cars (308/308i/308QV) than any other model series. If I have counted correctly, there are 28 308s' followed by 21 328s'. Yes, we need a registery!!!

That means we should have all the 308 bases covered, and yes it is tons of work. I have about 3 hundred cars to enter rignt now and finding time to devote to my hobby is tought. I will however be able to send infor on many injected 2 valve cars.
