My apologies to William for posting on the F40... here is a new thread. Ok, the 308 is KNOWN to have a melt down of the relay board. Birdman makes a GREAT fuse block to replace those, but now we need a relay board to finish the job. Am taking bids on a run of 100 boards and am willing to cover initial development costs that will naturally be put back into the price of the final product. i AM NOT looking to make a profit, i AM simply looking to get new boards made and offer them to others at reasonable price.
The board itself is only part of the issue. One of the biggest problems is the connectors. So you'd have the issue of reproducing the board with adequate traces and good connectors, but you'd also have the issue of replacing the car side of the connectors. Good mil-spec connectors wouldn't fit where the circuit board is located. And you don't really need to go for dollar-a-pin environmentally sealed connectors anyway. So the combined issue would be a supply of boards and the mating connectors for the car, and the labor to replace the connectors on the car wiring harnesses. We're not talking a simple "plug" replacement here.
Thanks for your reply and i was kinda afraid of that. Whiole i have never taken off the board, i was looking at the Spare Parts book and it seemed as though it was not as simply as i had hoped. Bummer
