    Hi Guys,

I've searched on here to find out if there were any threads showing how to remove the light housings on the front bumper for the parking/signal lights but could not find any ('84 308GTSi)

If anyone knows how to remove the light housings in the front bumper please let me know how to do it? I've looked in the manual as well and it doesn't show. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've found that if you remove the Bumper you can access the light housing, just make sure you disconnect the housing from the Harness. If i remember you'll need a 10mm Socket to remove the bracket .Hope this helps.

Be very careful with them. Mine crumbled to dust and I had to get replacements. It went a little bit like this:

If your '84 is like my '81...

Remove the front lens, it's just fastened with screws.
Then, working from the backside of the bumper (it's maybe a bit easier if you remove the front metal grill, also just held in place with a bunch of obvious screws) there is one hex nut that holds the light housing in with a metal clip. The first time, you will need a mirror on a stick to find it. Remove that nut, and the housing comes out from the front.

Two things to be careful about though: First, that nut is attached to a bolt that in turn is just seated in the plastic of the housing. If the nut is at all rusted on, the plastic may give first. Second, the outside of the housing has a little lip that holds it in, and you don't want to break that lip if you can help it. If you do mess either of these up, it's an easy JB Weld repair.... or you can buy a new housing for about 83 decimabazillion dollars.

...Search for "euro bumper" or "front bumper" or just "bumper" in the 308 section and you should find some related threads.

Here's a picture of the the light assemply in my '85 euro bumper from behind. As was stated, you can remove the bumper in two bolts.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the help guys, especially that last picture. I'll look for the two bolts that hold the bumper and just remove the whole bumper. Happy Thanksgiving!

    You as well Veleno!

Hey, here's a picture of the Euro bumper mount on my car. That 10mm bolt is on the understide of the tube the bumper slides in to. There is one tube on each side of the bumper.

You can find an illustration on Ricambi's website here:

So an update to this post.

The front bumper has 4 bolts, remove those and the bumper is off (don't forget to disconnect the harness for the parking/signal lights).

I wanted to remove the signal/parking light housing to see if something came loose back there as the lights were not working properly. To make a long story short, I found the problem to be the grounding of the bulbs while in the sockets. All I had to do was make sure the bulbs were grounded and the lights worked as they should. Took a couple of hours as I wasn't sure what exactly was wrong but glad I took the time to look into it more closely as I was about to order new housings later that day!

Thanks again for the pictures and help guys!

Glad your problem was fixed so easily! Would you mind posting pictures of the four bolts holding your bumper on? It would be great to show the Euro/USA difference in the same thread if possible...
