I'm in the middle of doing the interior on my '78 308 and have been trying to find a set of seat belts. Haven't been able to find a new set of stock belts but I was finally able to find an aftermarket set that will fit nicely and look close to stock.

My problem is that the aftermarket ones don't have a wire on the drivers latch like stock. While the buzzer (or light whatever it was on these cars) is already disconnected, I'm wondering if I can just cut the wire off the existing latch and just dead-end it without any harm.

    Thanks,
    John

My Gt4's wire is just hanging free in under the seat. Looks like the socket it was originally mated with has a small jumper across it to keep the lights/buzzers quiet.

BTW what brand of belt did you find. I am looking for new belts and the closest I have found so far are these:

The 12 inch latch looks the closest to original but I am afraid it might be too long. What did you choose?

Mine has the jumper under the seat as well but the wire still goes to the buckle. I'm wondering if just cutting it off the buckle and sealing the end will be OK?

Those are the belts I found. I have them but haven't put 'em in yet. Did do a trial fit and it looks like they will fit. Not an exact match but will have to be close enough I guess.

The 9" buckle was the same as mine.

They have seat belts? I tried them and every other place I know of and couldn't find new belts anywhere. I'll try one more time though, thanks.

They had a used set only. I already have a set of those. Wanted a new set to go with the new interior. Thanks for the try though!

Sorry. I was going to replace mine and they quoted a price to me. So I thought they had them.

I need to replace my drivers side belt. So I ought to do both. I've been thinking about going with the five point set up. I'm still deciding.

Sparco seats would be nice too.
