    From the Ferrari Owner's Site:

The main European market 308 GTS Quattrovalvole models had a tubular chassis with factory type reference F 105 GS 100, Disc brakes, with independent suspension via wishbones, coil springs, and hydraulic shock absorbers, were provided all round, with front and rear anti roll bars. All models were numbered in the Ferrari odd number road car chassis sequence of the time, with right and left hand drive available. The model was produced in a total of 3042 examples, over four times as many as the concurrent fixed roof berlinetta, between 1982 and 1985 in the chassis number range 41701 to 59265.

Not sure the OP was asking about 308 QVs, but interesting information none the less.
For most 3x8 questions (including production numbers) I can recommend Original Ferrari V8 by Keith Bluemel. An authoritive and generally accurate book covering the 3x8 cars quite well.

I've always wondered -- what is there a QV register and GTB register but nothing to cover everyone else?

True. Now i really wish i had not loaned my copy of Bluemel out. Interestingly i own #57943. When i was having my 30k done. Miles but almost the cost$. Anyway the tech commented that my motor was assembled with a later 328 style -- Bell housing around the clutch ??? Not sure exactly he said. Led me to believe that i had a very late 85QV. I need to follow up on that.

    Thanks for the feed back.

What is your build date? You can get this by registering on the Ferrari Owners site if you do not have the information already.

My GTS QV is #58027 and assembly number 540 out of 712? (if I remember correctly)

I know it was built in May of 85, but havent found the actual date anywhere, even on the Ferrari site. Will have to check that and see if it has more info.

59265 is the offical last one built, there might be some post production cars. I have 59273 as being one, a Swiss LHD model.
