    I live in Nashville and just purchased an '85 308. It is a really clean car; been in its own garage and owned since 1986 by the same man. 19k miles. He has babied it. It is due for a service and needs check out. Can anybody point me in the right direction for a competitive service tech in between Nashville and Birmingham? Thanks, Eddie

    I think most of the Birmingham guys use independent mechanics in the Atlanta area such as Jim Weed, Terry Girone, Ron Rieneke, etc.

    Don't know about Nashville.

    I had a major service on a Boxer by Ron Reineke at Sports Cars of Atlanta than went real well. However Ron is leaving Sports Cars of Atlanta to go to work for Shelton in FL. However ,he still may be doing a small amount of work for Sports Cars fo Atlanta. Don't know the exact arrangement.

    Ron did my major service 2 years ago. I really like him. He also referred me to World Class Auto here in town a few years ago. I know the shop pretty well and you should have no problems with them servicing the 308.

    Yes, in Huntsville. Mike Gettemy at International Motors has been working on my 308 for over 10 years, and is VERY knowledgeable and VERY reasonable and VERY good. He's just not always very fast! I recommend him without reservation. Besides doing local cars, he's had Ferraris brought in to him from Nashville, Memphis and Birmingham.

    I have some issues with the World Class Auto gentlenen in Birmingham.

    Would use the people in Atlanta or Mike C's guy.

    I have heard nothing but good things about Charness' guy as well. Sounds like he would be the way to go, especially considering your location.

    Some of us in Memphis use Roberto at Eurosports (?) in Nashville. I'm sure the Nashville guys can get you contact info. Roberto and his son work together and do a fine job.
