I am currently looking for recommendations on shipping a 308 from Michigan to Florida. I had a private party doing it until they had to unexpectedly cancel. I was surprised to see reliable carriers only gives 24 hour notice and a time frame of 1-5 weeks. That just doesn’t work for me. I am looking for suggestions. Thanks

I don't remember which contractor I went with, but years ago I had a Porsche shipped to me long-distance, and - according to my archived emails - I got bids from Upscale Auto Transport in Miami (I THINK that's who I went with), Progressive Auto Relocation, and Cobalt Logistics Services. Good luck.

I just shipped a boat and trailer two weeks ago from Ontario (not far north from Port Huron MI) to Sarasota FL. The shipper is a small business (him and his father, maybe one or two more employees) based out of Ontario. He isn't an auto specialist (no idea what kind of trailer he would use) but was very reliable, reasonable, and was quite busy going back and forth weekly. I wouldn't be surprised if he passes very close to you regularly. Let me know if you want his contact.

I have used Reliable on several occasions, most recently moving my Boxer from Canada and my 308 from Colorado. Have never had an issues with them ever. They will stay in touch with you and provide plenty of notice when they will arrive. The issue is that they don’t operate like an airline with set schedules. They need to be somewhat non committal until they have enough cars to move in the same direction that you are going. Once that occurs and they have a better understanding of the route, they are very good.
