I think my next project will be to replace the metric wheels/tires on my 80' 308. I will also replace the shocks, since I was told that they are the originals from 1980! Regarding the wheels, what size options do I have? I was told that I can use 16" with 7" in front and 8" rear. What tires would you recommend? Regarding the shocks, would you use standard Koni's? My 308 is a road car only and it has never been hit by a rain drop. How much of an improvement do you think I will see over what I have now? Thanks Fellas! PS While I'm at it, what do you think I can get for my metric wheels/tires?? The wheels are in excellent condition, with tire tread being 85-90%
HUGE amount of threads on this, use the search function. Wheels, 16 or 17 inch, no wider than 7.5 front and 8.5 rear imho to keep rolling resistance from slowing car Shocks, Koni rebuids, QA or Nich Forza See if you can get a set of Saner sways, MUCH better than just doing shocks. In fact i'd go for better anti-roll bars BEFORE shocks (provided your shocks are in good shape).
