    Hello to all,

Ok, probably a dumb question (but I haven't found a thread either). I am on the road picking up my 308. The passenger side mirror is flopping down. Before I start pulling things apart whilst NOT in my own driveway, any advice? Is it as simple as removing the long plastic finisher and tightening a nut or screw? Do I need to remove the whole mirror? Oh, the rear, short finisher pieces are missing on both mirrors. Are these the ones that are NLA and someone here is reproducing?

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

Yes it is as simple as removing the plastic caps and tightening up, what I believe is a allen bolt. I can't remember the exact size off hand. Had the same thing happen on my 328. Popped off the cap and tightened her down. Good as new. Good luck.
I bought the front replacement cap for my driver side mirror from ferrari parts exchange. They are local for me. works fine.

Right, it's the small trapedoidal plate with lettering molded on it. Pop that off and you'll be able to get to the allen head bolt to tighten up your mirror.

Funny that you should bring this up today. I just got my Euro 308 back from being detailed and my side mirror was down lower than normal. I tried to move it back but it kept sliding down. On the Euro there is a rubber boot that you peel back, giving you access to the bolt that just needed a little tightening. Now she is as good as new.

Joe, you may want to put a small drop of Loctite on the screw since the do get loose every now and then from the vibration.

Yup, my detailer loosened mine as well. Otherwise there's not much reason to adjust it.

Thanks, ordered the caps from him on Friday. Tried the dealer first and he told me if I had a good supplier, go with them instead of Ferrari! I like honesty in a parts department. (Of course, it may be Ferrari doesn't have the rear caps anymore...)
