    I am ready to fix this problem with my 308GTSI 1982.
    ..a final question is ...Can the project be done w/o loosing upper windows pulleys/cable and with the windows in the upper position..?!!!

    Why not..?

    Yes. Put duct tape on the window over the top of the door to hold it up.
