    I was doing an LED upgrade to my dash lights (1983 308 QV) when one of the plastic light sockets behind the speedometer fell apart ( disintegrated is more like it). Are these unobtanium or can someone help me source one? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Will try. The part in question holds a bulb that goes down into speedo to illuminate face. Outer aspect has spade connector . I believe speedo has 4 of these on posterior surface to hold bulbs.

    Not only are these not available but a speedo for an '83 is also unavailable at most sources I've checked. Did find a speedo case at Italian Car Parts and will likely have to purchase this as it apparently has plastic light sockets intact...sure hope so.

    Evidently it's the plastic holder on the far right.

    I found a source for those when I was doing the LED project this past spring. Will post more information when I get home.

    No sweat guys.

    As a side note The Tool Box Shop is a great source for replacement supplies (www.thetoolboxshop.com) such as connectors and switches

    Console switches (you will still need the round knob from Superformance)
    http://www.thetoolboxshop.com/toggle-and-direction-switches-205-c.asp

    Wire Connectors
    http://www.thetoolboxshop.com/blade-terminal-connectors-280-c.asp

    Make sure to change the settings to;
    - Set to USD:US Dollar (this will change the pounds to dollars)
    - Country to US (this will remove the VAX tax from the total)
    - Set shipping to International Airmail, not United States of America (Intl Air is about 1/3 the cost, but slower)

    Yep. Mine were not corroded like the ones on this post so I didn't have to replace them, but they did fit snug in the chimney.
