    Hi all,

We are restoring a 1983 US 308 QV. We wanted to replace the clock from miles to km, but it is hard to fine a correct km speedo. Are there any overlays available?

    Thanks,

    Ton

I'm sure there are reverse overlays in the uk & certainly km in Australia for their local compliance - try asking in the Oz section and/or email someone like Speedy Cables in UK or Palo Alto USA

Remember, just refacing it, the ODO will still read in MILES not KMs.

Might try (Google) Palo Alto Speedo for a full conversion. And you MIGHT have to buy different "pick-ups" Just don't know for sure.

There might be a place in Berlin that can do it too. Not sure on that one.

Pickups/senders are the same regardless of KM or Miles. QV would put out 8 pulse per wheel rev, old style (carbed cars) put out 4 pulse per wheel rev.

Try to contact krisdisk, another f-chatter also located in Belgium, he is making new faceplates in km/h but you will stll have the distance reading in miles.
    Regards

    Thanks! I will contact him.
I know that the distance will still read in miles, but it seems to be the best next option compared to a new clock. :)
