I have a very early Dino 308GT4 and my angle drive (speedo sending unit) has gone bad. I'm trying to source one (I might have a lead on a used one) but I'm wondering if anyone has a PN for this unit. Nobody makes this unit and I need to figure out if there is a cross reference to another car. (Fiat?) Even better would be if somebody had one lying around. ;)

Thanks for any and all help in advance!

Jim, this is the one that mounts vertically on top of the transaxle right behind the R/R wheel correct?
The original Ferrari p/n was 106324 (OEM Veglia/Jaeger p/n 68.1005.990.0) which supersedes to
    Ferrari p/n 124146 (Veglia/Jaeger p/n 68.1041.990.0). I have some old Veglia/Jaeger/Borletti catalogs in storage
which may be able to give me a cross reference but it would take me until Saturday to get to them.
e-mail me at [email protected] if you need me to scan/email or fax pages from the catalog to you.

Where is this on your car? Is your speedo a cable drive from the tranny?
Moto Guzzi used these in the 1970's as well.
A search reveals I've mentioned this before and answers my own question:

They have a picture, see if it isn't what you are looking for. Also their prices have gone up a couple of bucks since I posted that.

    Brian (both of you),

Thanks for the replies! The Moto Guzzi part is identical to the one on my car. I'm going to give it a try since I cannot find a used one and if I did, it would be 3x the price. I'm going to see if I can cross ref. this with the Veglia PN to dbl check.
BTW, I did try a search, but did not find anything here...that's what prompted my post...

Ok, I called MG Parts. The angle drive they sell is plastic, which concerns me being on top of the gearbox and close to the motor. I have to check the thread size to make sure they are the same....

My comment wasn't meant to a be a search Nazi put-down. I just knew that I'd run across this before. Why would you search for "Guzzi speedo" on Fchat? But I knew it was familiar.

    Brian,

I didn't mean to imply that it was a put-down. I was commenting that I had tried a search. I'm surprised that it didn't come up in the search.... Sorry for the misunderstanding...
