    . . . i've had it out for a while and forgot how to reconnect. i'm thinking both harness wires(black and red)and alternator wire connect to the same solenoid terminal?

    Main battery lead and main alternator lead connect together to the main starter terminal. The small white or yellow wire IIRC, with the spade terminal, attaches to one of the spade terminals on the starter. Dont quote me, its been a while since I had my head under there.
