Has anyone seen this or bought this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7941829626 Was thinking about performing this upgrade. Phil
You can get the exact same thing from Nicks Forza for $500 complete front and back. There are other sources as well such as http://www.sanerperffab.com/products.htm. Happy Holidays! -Sam
Yes I bought them earlier this year. Had them on a 1982 308 then put them on a 1987 328. They work great.
Yep, I've got them from that seller, made by SanerFab Performance. See the thread at http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39712 Also see www.fca-se.com/sponsors/tristram/ Mike
I'm cosidering performing this upgrade over this winter - using the entire setup springs/shocks and bars - mentioned in the FCA Southeast Region link (thanks for that link). A couple questions as I do some research on this all. First, can this upgrade be done in my home garage with the car up on jack stands? Is there anything inherently dangerous about removing the stock parts? In particular, when I start to remove a sway bar will it snap my head off or some other body part just as important? Besides a tool to compress the springs for removal and installation, are ther any other special tools required? I think I may need a press for the new bushings, but am not sure. While performing this upgrade, is it worth it "while I am in there" to change out, replace or upgrade anything else? It woudl seem to me that removing the A arms for a cleanign and powder coating may be worthwhile. I don't plan on upgrading my breaks to Brembos or anything, and since the pads are relatively new (maybe 3 years old, 2,500 miles) nothing needs to be done there. I do as much work as I can on my '84 308. So far I changed out the muffler to a Tubi, upgraded the cooling system (pictures coming soon), dropped and replaced both oil and gearbox pans, and some other stuff (oil, filters, plugs), so from what I can tell the suspension upgrade is just more of removing stock parts and replacing with new ones. (My major gets done by Classic Coach in New Jersey. As did the clutch and brakes. I haven't explored doing these yet myself.) I figure afterwards I would need to bring the car into an alignment shop. Outside of this, is there anything else that needs to be "tuned" after doing this upgrade? Anything that I shouldn't do or can't do because of lack of expereince? I know these are a lot of questions. After searching through FChat, I found similar posts on this subject but the work done varies from car to car, some owners do more work, some only recommend the sway bar upgrade. Thanks, Phil
