    All,

I plan to host a technical session in the next month or two or so. Topic is going to focus on window motors/mechanism. I have done this on my car before but it is slow again, so I intend to take one (or both) windows and assemblies out, clean the gunk out, put in new grease, get everything lined up properly (this is my present worst problem), and I also have bought the window accelerators from Ricambi and will put these in.

Time permitting, I will investigate the power lock problems I have by starting with taking out the passenger door locking mechanism (I need to study this more to make sure I know what I'm getting into) and cleaning grease out of that, too.

Probably won't get to it, but I also have Birdman's fuseblocks to install.

Perhaps you might want to do the same on the same day, or maybe you just want to observe so you can decide if you want to do it on your own. Or maybe you just want to come hang out.

I plan to host this at the Classic Car Center in Fredericksburg, VA (http://www.classiccarcenter.net/). The Classic Car Center is a storage facility for classic cars, and they also service classic cars. Always a nice variety of cars on consignment and in active storage. It is located just a couple miles off I95 midway between DC and Richmond. They have graciously volunteered to help by hosting this event!

Plan for the day would be a fairly early start with coffee and donuts. Work until lunch, then go for a nice backroad drive and lunch (and ice cream at Carl's). Follow up with the afternoon continuing/finishing work.

The event will take place on a Saturday, on either 4 April, 11 April, 25 April, or 16 May. Should I rule out any of these dates that should be ruled out due to already scheduled FCA or other events?

Who would be interested? I just planned to do this myself in the garage, but thought others might be interested in joining in.

Matt, this sounds like a great idea. Glad to hear tech days are coming back in style.

We need more elbow grease and less cupcake eating in this region!

    Hey Matt!

    Long time so see.

The power lock assembly is pretty straight forward, it really only has 1 moving part which is the power solenoid, chances are thats the issue. I replaced mine when I had the mondial, thats how easy it was.

    Best,
