My 308 WSM does not have the torque specs for the axles(24 bolts) or the bolt holding the flange to the diff. Anyone have these or know where to get them? Car is a '76 308GT4.

See page M6 in the 308GT4 WSM under GEARBOX AND DIFFERENTIAL:

    Fixing flanges to differential
    12 x 1.5 thread
    9 Kg-m (~65 ft-lbs)

    Fixing axle-shafts to differential flanges
    10 x 1.25 thread
    8 Kg-m (~58 ft-lbs)

(I'd use a small amount of threadlocker on the M12 bolt threads, and IIRC some gasket sealer under the washer and under the bolt head to stop any possible leakage out the thread path -- but I'll check that.)

I should have said "out the thread path and/or the spline path" for the sealant (e.g., RTV) -- check Fig 12 page D19 in the 308GT4 WSM for a decent illustration.

The third recommendation was to try to restore something closer to a non-directional, fresh-ground surface finish where the lip seal rides on the flange (without really removing any material) with some 600~1000 grit abrasive paper.

I'm too lazy to look it up so anyone know how to convert the torques in the manual to in/lb pounds? I'd never seen torques like ----> 9,2 . Whats it mean? thanks

Bill -- Most of the rest of the world uses (or is it used?) the comma as the decimal point so 9,2 = 9.2 for US-speak.
