I'll hook it up to a power supply, an oscope and then hook the MAPs up to a vacuum pump 1 by 1 and confirm the correct output.

Barometric correction separate from the MAP reading. Most people will not need or want it and will not install it....it's one of those freaky megasquirt thinks that only makes sense to them basically but the board designer thought we should accomodate them and he was the one drawing the board.

Dang! I thought to myself, "Well, it could be to get atmospheric pressure, but why?" "Nah!"

Never underestimate [something that is better left unsaid]!

It's not that I don't know how....it's time consuming and will add10+ hours to the manifold project. I got started on the flanges that will get welded to the heads thid morning and have very little to show for my 2 hours. They might look like something in another day or 2.

I got a call from UPS, they have a delivery from JE pistons scheduled for tomorrow, pics to follow :)

Hopefully I can get Lana to sign for it.......

Once I get the pistons I think I can get the crank out for re-balance, make the liners, assemble the short block....I think.

Ive read the whole thread countless times, refresh my memory on what your making the liners from? Or are you ''adjusting'' other liners?

The liners are centrifugally cast iron blanks I bought from Darton. I will machine the outside profile to fit my block and rough the bore then a local machine shop with finish hone them about $10 each.

After about 30 moinutes of thinking and 3.5 hours of milling, here's what I have: 2 bars milled to a profile that fits the head. I still need to mill in cuts for ribs in the heads, figureout a plan for around the water passage flange, put some kind of shape to it I guess (there is a lot of extra metal) and pop in a hole where the ports are. The hole will be undersize and mostly just to remove mass to make welding easier, the final port shape will get milled/ground once the flange is welded on. I will probably also mill about 1/4"-3/8" off the thickness after it's welded and I figureout exactly what I want to do with the bolts.

On this morning’s drive/processing time I think I’ve decided to buy the mechanical waterpump , I was hesitating over the 2 outlets when my engine has only 1 input. Thinking about it I think the 2 outlets are probably good. The water outlet on the TR heads is in the center so if I flow water into only the front (damper end) of the block I would expect the front cylinders to get more water than the back (flywheel) cylinders. The block has a plug on the top at the flywheel end I could sent the second waterpump output to and that should improve water flow uniformity…and make the second output from the pump look like it has a purpose.

I’m still pondering the water outlet flanges on the heads vs my intake manifold flange…..but I hate the flange the way it is.

    No pistons for me :(

Lana missed him, appearently he was just running late the day she caught him with the cams. They don't deliver saturady, they are not open for pickup saturday. The options are for me to take a couple hours off work to drive to the UPS depot Monday, have Lana take 1/2 day to be here, or return to sender and have it shipped then have it shipped back FedEx who do deliver on saturady.....I suspect I'll see them in about 2 weeks when the fedex man brings them back. Even the easy things are not easy with this project........

Bearings......the bearings I'm supposed to have are frikin expensive. From ferrari 360 rod bearing are $60 per shell and the crank bearings are $60-$100 per shell. From GT parts 308/400 rod bearings are 10/shell....I think they fit or at least they will. GTparts is out of the 400 crank bearings but they have 365 bearings, the ends are the same the middles are wider so I'm thinking they fit too at @240 a set. We'll see when they get here.
