Used my defrost on my '83 GTS last night for the first time all year and now its stuck. I can't slide it past the middle selection to the top to the O position. It's stops at E. What happened and how can I fix this? I don't want to force it.

Looks like you may have to take the Center Panel off first. I am not sure on a 328, but on a 308 you have to take out the Ashtray and then there are 2 Self Tappers. Remove them and you will be able to lift up the Center Panel. If you need to lift it higher, you may need to take off the Gearshift Knob, but all the cables will be visible. Check out the cables and see if it is binding up. Someone else chime in here please...

I guess I have to remove the liner from the front trunk to access this area?

    Ah, Collector Cars. :)
Probably Will benifit from a light sprayof PB penetrant once you remove the console and cover inside the front Bonnet as stated above. Resolved Lever binding issues with my 82 GTSi and Lotus Esprit S1.

Got it guys! There is a wire coming out of AC (like a sender type wire) that the selector was hung up on. I just bent it up a bit and out of the way and all good now. Thanks for the pics flavioleon, otherwise I wouldn't have known where to look :)
