Is there any difference in the cost of repairs and parts for 308s vs 328s ? I would think parts overall would be a little bit higher for 308s as they are older and there were fewer of each of the different models produced.

    Thanks in advance

i would gues that the carb cars are more needy as far as tweaking goes compared to say a 308QV, which is FI and the later 328's. i am on carb 308 #2, and with the exception of the crappy ignition on all early - mod 70's european cars, the cars are a blast. for what you would spend on a nice 328, your could have a top notch early fiberglass carb GTB with the dry sump, and have $$$4 left over!

not to beat a dead horse, but the early carb cars drive differently from the later carb cars as much as a 308qv differs from a 328. bieng a carb guy, i will admit that a 328 is still probably a much better car for frequent weekly use in traffic. my 77GTB can tell me if the barometer is high or low, it loves the colder, dense air of spring and driving at night is a blast (now that i did the damn fuseblocks!)

initial costs aside, it will really come down to the seat of the pants feel you get as you drive them. take your time, and let us know what you think! Michael

I would guess the fuel-injected cars, especially the QVs, would be very similar to the 328s. The carbureted cars would be another matter entirely, and I'm not versed to discuss that.
