    Hello,

I haven't purchased one of these yet, but plan to in the near future. First, I need to find a new place with more room. A quick search has the width of these at 67.71". Is that correct, and does this specification include the mirrors, or not?

So far I've discovered there aren't as many choices in homes as I would've guessed. According the agent I've been talking to most of the stories you hear about real estate collapsing are irrelevant to the S.F.Bay Area. Homes go on the market and are snatched up in less than a week for more than I feel they're worth, down from their 2007 high though they may be. A friend of mine bought a place about a year ago and warned me the experience would be the biggest pile of B.S. I'd ever experience. I'm see that now.

Thats the measurement of the rear wheel opening lip to lip. Mirrors vary but don't add much more to the width because of the shape of the car, location on door and size of mirror. They fold too so that can be taken out of the equation but if your garage is that narrow you better get a GTS and a ladder hanging from the garage ceiling.

On my 308 it is about 71.5" including the US flag style mirrors.

Thank you for the replies, I think I have enough to go on. I know the car will fit in any garage I might end up with, but my plan is to have another garage in the back where I can work on it for an extended period of time without tying up the garage off the street. But I'm thoroughly unwilling to spend the money (even if I could afford it) on the sort of huge Mc Mansion type property that might have that facility already built in it. I just want a simple 1,100-1,200 sq.ft. home with enough side access to get a vehicle in and out. Corner lots are the best, or I might have to consider down town, where this type of home is common place in the older neighborhoods. I'm just weary of owning a 100 year old home in an unfamiliar area (some parts are nice, some not so much).

Thank you again for the information, I'll keep looking.

Keep in mind you still have to get in and out of the car. With my door open it adds 3'.
