308 will not start

I have had same 308 GTSi for 33 years.
I go on vacation and when I get back it will not start.
Cranks like crazy but will not catch:
I have:
1. Replaced the fuel pump relay and the start injector relay.
2. Removed the blue wire from the fuel distributor, turned the key on and heard the fuel pump running.
3. Replaced the battery.
4. Pulled a plug and checked for spark. Good spark.
5. Pulled air filter and pushed metal plate down to hear swish noise.
When I first started cranking it there was no smell of gas. After I pushed the metal plate down under the air filter box I started to get the smell of gas when I would crank it.
I don't know what to do next.
Any help would be appreciated.
