308 Wiper Switch/Stalk Repair

    Hi all

    Just wanted to ask if anyone knows of anyone in Australia who repairs or reconditions wiper switch/stalk on 308's

    Have a 78 with non functioning wipers.
    Mechanic has told me the motor is fine and all else looks and tests ok except the switch.
    Power is going to the switch but no power coming from the switch to the motor

    Any tips would be appreciated

    I would test the wiper delay module first - they corrode and stick. You're more likely to break the indicator/lights stalk before the wiper stalk

    Thanks for the tip. Is this the unit under the dash near the steering column? That unit made a clicking noise just before the wipers stopped working

    Yep, that's the one. I have seen someone on here pry it open and restore it, if you feel like a bit of entertainment.

    The stalk switches are a common failure in 308's . If you are in Sydney, Sal at Racing Red will be able to arrange a repair.
