Hi, Has anybody tried to put 328 bumpers on a 308 before? They certainly look a lot better. Thanks Helmut
this seems to be a 328 with part of a 308 front clip, but it might give you a good idea what it would look like. Definitely some type of custom work. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
nonononononononononono.................... It'd look a lot worse. After going through all the troubles you'll be one of those wanna be kid. sorry to say this. The 308 is great the way it is... It's so pretty, Ferrari resembled its top car 288GTO after the 308 design.
I agree with you Patpong that there is a sever danger of becoming one of those.... but those pictures Tillman put up look pretty good. I suppose the main difference is that the wheel base is actually different on the 308 and 328, which would mean it would never be identical.
Source? I thought they were the same EDIT: Well, heck. Ferrari.com says the 308 is 2340 mm and the 328 2350 mm. I didn't realize there was that much difference in the cars.
Only 1cm, wow, that ain't much I guess its just enough to make it a pain in the neck to actually swap out parts like bumpers etc. Wouldn't it be cool if the fiberglass rear bottom end of the 308 could just be swaped out for the 328 rear end. hhmmm. The front fenders look identical (except the grills behind the lights of course), rear looks very much the same as well. I wonder if there is somebody who tried it and ran into the usual unexpected problems.
I was thinking the same thing. That is a 328 or at least a 308 with a 328 front end, doors and rear end.
True, I did not notice that... What makes me wander more is the profile of the rear bumper. It seems not the 328 way. But perhaps i am mistaken, I do not see my car since almost 3 months now Ciao Eugenio
It's hard to tell with the green, but the front bonnet is 328 too. The headlights look long and narrow like 308s, but I think it's just the angle of the pic playing tricks. Anyone know what kind of rims those are? Other than being gold they're pretty nice.
I think a better approach would be to replace the large U.S. DOT bumpers with smaller Euro style bumpers. I'll get flamed by some, but I have painted the front Euro 308 bumper body color, which is similar to the 328. Dave, it is absolutely fantastic. Looking at the profile of your rear bumper, the green one looks identical to me, so I guess that the green one is 80% 308. Ciao Eugenio
