My drivers side headlight does not pop up. Right side works fine and when I activate it I can't hear any sound from the drivers side motor or even any sound that it's "trying". I searched the archives and couldn't really find an answer. The lights actually work even though it is in the down position.

Any ideas? Do the 308gt4 headlight motors have the diode issue that has been discussed on this forum with other models?
Are both sides controlled by same fuse and relays?
    Any help is appreciated.

my short answer is yes there is a cheapo diode that can cause this. i am almost positive that each side has separate fuses and relays, but i dont have a car here to look at . you can raise the light with the manual knob by the motor.

be very careful around these motors as they will chop off your fingers if you are not careful.

before messing with the diodes, check the fuses, and then swap the relays from one side to the other and see if there is any change. next check the ground for the suspect motor. then raise the lights, and disconnect the battery and take off the cover surrounding the light to add some room while working around it.

i have to go to work, sorry this is short. i think there were some past threads on this with part numbers on the diodes as well as better troubleshooting info.
