Here is another gt4 on ebay that is priced a bit too high for what it is. It needs a gearbox rebuild and has a non factory sunroof amongst other issues. The funniest part is the video of the guys wife driving it. She is riding the clutch on one video and peeling out on the next and hits a bump in his driveway at speed. I cant believe he thinks that is actually helping to sell his car. I found it very comical.

My goodness...I nominate this video (pardon the expression to my video crew) for the 'Worst Way to Market Your Car Award'. Not only do they show you that they have no idea of how to drive but at the same time that they have abused their car and in general clueles! Any seconds to my nomination?

For all the previous commentators, I have one more thing you can pick at, You should all pick the dried **** out of your ASS, cause im sure its full of it.
The guy clearly did not state the car was 100% original show car. Infact it was stated it had some aftermarket parts and not show quality. If it was show cond. he would have probability priced it near the show retail price around $35,000+. I think the car looks better with the 308 GTS tail lights and I like the fact that he actually shows the Ferrari being driven instead of a video of someone washing the car.
There only one ass for every chair.

It's great to see a video of a car being driven, but not like that. Price would be fair if the car didn't need trasmission work which could easily run in the 5 figures.
The seller is more full of it than anyone here.

That's the second GT4 I've seen with those tail lights. It just doesn't look quite right with the lights sticking out so far beyond the edge of the bodywork. I even half contemplated it until I found the yellow lenses are NLA.
The rest of Dstacy's list is mostly minor stuff. The sunroof stays, obviously, but as period aftermarket sunroofs go, this one isn't nearly as horrible looking as others I have owned and seen. Paint looks shiney and the car obviously runs. Unfortunately the second gear syncho is a big deal on any car, and this is no exception. Even a DIY job, there's no way that this is less than 1k in parts. Car needs a bigger discount for the synchro.

When I was quite young I worked a short period of time for a pop up sunroof company. You should have seen some of the junk out there in the 70's.

If I remember correctly I think David Driver spent over $2,500 in parts for his syncro rebuild. You might want to check me on that I could be wrong, but it seems I remember something about 1 part costing $800.

I have no doubt he is the seller, but I'd cut him a little bit of slack. Imagine selling your car and finding out that behind your back all of the experts and people posing as experts (I'm the latter, btw) bashing your car for all to see. What a shock that must be! Car looks pretty good in photos, not a show car, but perhaps a great driver. And who knows how bad the second gear really is. Perhaps it is just a little bit crunchy on fast shifts and he is just trying to be honest, and look what he gets. So yes, his first post was a bit, uh, aggressive, but he might just be a bit stunned. Time will tell. And I like that he posted a video - first time I'd seen that even if the video didn't really show much. No bids last time I looked. Only a personal-look-see and drive will tell if it is worth what he wants.

As the originator of the thread there is definite merrit to what you are saying however "bashing" is a strong word. I think critique may be more appropriate. Most of what has been said is factual, even though it was pointing out the cars weaknesses.

True enough, most cars that come up for sale get "Hevily Critiqued"here, though It may seem a bit harsh at times. I too agree it does not look like a bad car either. Probably best to de-personalize the car first. :D But his responce could have much better with no name calling, and rather offer an explanation of the issues brought up? Anyone coming across like that deserves both barrels.

    Cheers!

We do him the favor and cancels the video (cause it was horrid to watch), if he sells it .....i want a cut of the sale price, since there is NO WAY in HELL anyone would buy that car based on the video. I dont think i have ever seen a ferrari bunny hop once, let alone 5 times in 20seconds like that video.

BTW : Welcome to fchat !!

Oh, I know it is a critique, and I know we do it here all the time, I'm just saying that an outsider finds us discussing his car and saying it is all wrong and overpriced and needs repairs that may run into five figures isn't going to give said outsider a warm fuzzy feeling. Of course his post isn't going to help his car at all or gain the car any sympathy.
    Still no bids.
