I need to replace a number of studs that attach the airbox to the tops of the carburettors. There are 4 per carb. They are 5mm studs, fine thread, 35mm in length.

The correct part number is 13517121 - replaced by 13517124 according to Eurospares. But when I spoke to them, all their studs were either 6mm or 8mm, none were 5mm. This was after scouring Superformance for possible equivalents (basically that looked the part) and buying part numbers 13543524 (8mm) and 13541624 (6mm)

I spoke to a local machine shop this morning to see if they could make a batch up but it wasn't really their thing.
Lots of places list them i.e. https://www.allferrariparts.com/pn13517121id107152.html but I fear like Eurospares they won't be 5mm. Has anyone here replaced their studs and know of a source, preferably UK/Europe?

My interim measure will be to buy a lenght of thread 5mm bar and cut it up but they won't be pretty and they won't be studs!

    Thanks

Andy, total shot in the dark, but carb’d X1/9s (‘72 - ‘80? in GB/Europe) use small diameter studs and nuts to hold the air cleaner lid onto their Weber carbs. Good luck.

    Thanks both.
I went down the X19 route. This led to me to a few Italian car websites that had some studs but the wrong one.
BUT... I did see that some of the listings had a logo for 'Webcon'
    https://www.webcon.co.uk/

They are an absolute treasure trove, link to their studs page:
    https://www.webcon.co.uk/products/c3282-metric-studs/

And this looks like it will do the job (it actually has 40DCNF listed)
    https://www.webcon.co.uk/products/5349-m5-x-37-stud-jet-cover-stud-dcoe/

I'm going to buy a few to start with and see how I get on. As ever, when you buy parts that aren't specifially for a Ferrari, the prices are way below the usual suspects and the postage is a lot more sensible.

This is their parts page for the 40DCNF

    Comprehensive!

    Thanks for the tip Andy….
Also, re-reading my post, I realized I misspoke. The studs/nuts I was thinking of hold the air cleaner base - not lid - to the carbs.
Even though you have your issue resolved, I didn’t want to leave bad info behind.

Studs received from Webcon. Fractionally different lengths but nothing too significant.
Why I didn't realise these were a carb part as opposed to a car part, I don't know. I think I automically assumed that they would they would be specific to each car engine type/model but of course they are not.
    All's well that ends well!
