    Will a tach from a 81 GTS part number 117118 work in a 78. I believe the 81's had Digiplex ignition so I'm not sure if it is compatible with the 78 points setup. In case it makes any difference my 78 has pertronix ignition. The 117118 tach appears to be externally identical including plug.
