    for a 1983 308 QV. Thanks

    Can you get it rebuilt? Good time to get it upgraded. Most shops can do it for about $100

    The going rate for QV alternators is around $500 + a refundable core chargs.

    Any shop that rebuilds BOSCH alternators can rebuild it for around $100. Ask the local BMW,MERCEDES, or VW shopos who rebuilds their BOSCH alts, or just look in the yellow pages.

    Often when the alt is rebuilt, higher current coils are used & tests 10 A to 15 A higher than spec.
