308QV high compression piston template?

I'm wanting to put high compression pistons (around 10-10.5:1) in my '83 308 QV. My mechanic told me it would help if I had a piston template. Did the euro 308 QVs have higher compression? Has anyone here purchased high compression pistons designed for their 308QV?
