That is a nice car, but that rear diffuser on the exhaust shield has me scratching my head. A Homer Simpson mod for sure.
Nope. I have a GT4 and it is still in my shop waiting for me to get my sorry ass down there to finish installing the 1-4 manifold heat shield etc so I can get it started for the first time in 15 years. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Yea that’s not my cup of tea either - but shouldn’t be too hard or expensive to revert to original diaper (or other). I’d also take those shields off in the process, but that’s just my preference
I agree. Bring it back to the original condition would have been a smart move to do before it went up for sale.
Whats up everyone! My car up on BAT! Yeah the diffuser grew on me over time after i bought it! Both of those items are easy to remove and could actually net some money to whoever bought and wanted to resell! Get the word out! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Six months too late but I would have purchased this car in a heartbeat if I hadn't bought mine in November. Local NY seller too, which is always appreciated.
Anyone know the owner? If so have them contact me. I'm looking for a QV GTS. Would prefer red tan but could go black interior. I don't trust dealers in these things. Would prefer to buy directly from an owner.
Me too. Guess most buyers want as close to "original" as possible. Lots of talk in the BAT thread RE lack of original exhaust diaper, tools, books, ect.
Just to finish the conversation. I had a conversation with the top bidder and we came to an agreement a day after the auction ended. He paid me above reserve, but not all of what I thought the car would get to. It's a win/win for us both. He may or may not post here but I met him and hes a great guy who also likes to work on his cars. A friend is loading it on the transport to go to SC in a matter of moments, as I'm on the beach in FL. So, like a true car addict I bought a Porsche Tuesday - 2015 991 no sunroof, manual trans. First pcar. See if I can live very long without a Ferrari.
Congratulations on the sale and on the purchase. Selling a Ferrari it’s always a bittersweet feeling unless you are upgrading to another one. Please keep us posted how you like the Porsche.
