Now that is what I call a service.

I enjoyed the pictures and the VERY tidy conditions surrounding the process.

    Great job

Heading into nightmare territory. My parts supplier sent the wrong cam cover gaskets. My spark plug supplier sent plugs without the screw-on nipples. WTF! Some times ordering things from the internet completely suxs. The old timing belts look brand new but the other belts were cracked up. If you have ever worked on other engines besides Ferraris you can clearly see lots of cool deferences. Heat shields everywhere!

    LOL

You have to cut the gasket. It doesn't stay as one piece. But were is the one that goes around the spark plug holes?

Whoever supplied your parts, just make sure your gaskets are 176156 and 176157. Ernie is right, you also need spark plug gaskets 163620 and 163621. The gaskets are shipped from Ferrari shrink-wrapped 2-per in the cardboard sleeves, so unless you bought two full sets, they might have arrived "loose" (or at the very least, pre-opened).

Make sure your supplier sent the NEW timing belts with the white kevlar ribbing on the inside, 184986. (181610 has been superseded by Ferrari)

    Looks terrific!!!

355 has O rings for spark plug holes.

Gaskets can be confused with orientation too... can take a moment to get them sorted out.

Check the Aircon bracket isn't broken... very common

Belt tensioners bearings.....?? Also how to operate and tension the belt properly... ??

No way this is the right gasket. I would have to cut it ten times for it to fit. Check out the circled areas. One of the holes doesn't even have a threaded post to go into! I believe you are not supposed to cut any part of the red center line on the gasket. That red line on the gasket creates the seal.
