30K Major parts kit

Yup, I'm in for one too... I'm in British Columbia Canada. Are all those parts from ricambi made in the US? Could be duty payable if ordered across the border (an extra 6.7% would suck)... Perhaps some Canucks can respond to the thread aswell.

 

I'll bet virtually none of it is US made.

It's an Italian car after all.

 

It's a good price for what you get. The Ricambi kit is a great starting point - add the SRI connector kit and hoses. Make sure to indicate Hill Engineering for the tensioner bearings. If your car has the older style roller bearing for the drive gear for the cams, get the updated ball bearing unit.

Don't forget to check the water pump and see if it needs a rebuild or replacement, along with checking wear and tear on the oil chain tensioner (another SRI part, if needed). And if you have the old Delco Remy CS-130 alternator, get it rebuilt with a heavy duty kit during the major.

It's also a great time while the engine is out to check the gearbox - make sure all the stake rings are locked down tight to help prevent future gearbox issues. Fill it with Red Line 75W90 NS when it goes back in for smoother shifting.

I spent the first 26 years of my life in Ottawa, and I saw a total of 3 Ferraris the entire time I lived there. Now it seems like there are tons of guys in Ottawa that have a 348 - how awesome is that?

 

When I did my major last year I did not order the kit, rather I ordered the components seperately from Ricambi (parts can vary if you have a 2.7 or 5.2 model) and substituted the more complete silicone hose kit and duel fuel filters.
With Ricambi, just get the order fed ex'd to your door.
