I have a 92 Mondial with about 28K on it. Does anyone know what a 30K service includes? What is the price breakdown? Labor, Parts etc? Thanks.

Your owners manual will tell you what needs to be completed for the 30K. A price breakdown is widely dependent upon your location and whether the dealer or another servicing facility completes it. Remember, cam belt changes require removal of the engine/trans assembly so you may have additional costs "while we're in here".

Although there is always a debate regarding the frequency of cam belt changes Ferrari did send out a bulletin updating the schedule to 3 years and 30,000 miles.

I dont have my owner's manual. I have looked in the Chilton Labor guide to get an idea of labor times but the book I have does not show the times. Does anyone know the exact times and the exact maintenance to be performed?

A good site for reference: www.eugeniosferrariservice.com. Eugenio is a reputable independent in the LA area. An authorized dealer will charge considerably more.

You may be able to download a PDF version of the owners manual, although I don't have a link for you.

Wade is correct, Ferrari has changed its recommended timing belt change interval to 3 years/30,000 miles. In my experience, you'll also want to do an annual fluid service at minimum -- motor oil, gear oil, coolant, brake fluid (can go every 2 years on that).

EDIT: You might want to fill out your profile here, so people know where you are. That helps a lot when recommending where to take your car.

    Link not working?

Wade's and Bullfighter's comments: dead on, and yes fill out your profile.

You will get a lot of [probably] flack for the age old discussion of DIY vs qualified tech, vs 3 years vs 5 years. BUT before you open that old pandora box I have done it BAD and GOOD ways....the above are helping you IMO on the right track.

I am not looking to take this car to a dealer nor am I attempting to repair the car myself. I received a rough quote from another independent shop and I want to verify their times and parts. I also want to make sure they know what is involved in a 30K service.

If this independent shop doesn't know what's involved in a Ferrari 30K service, you need to find another independent shop.

    Really.

    replace fuel filters
replace charcoal canister and o2 sensors
    replace air filter
tighten all screws and bolts especially exhaust
