Found a set of 16 inch 328 wheels that look exactly the same as my current 390's on my 86 Mondial. Do you guys know if these will fit straight onto my car without any modifications? I'm running out of tread on my 390's and figure it's time to upgrade to 16's. How much would you pay for 328 "16's"? Thanks so much, Lou

Nope,,, you need ABS wheels from a 1988 1/2 model year 328.

How do I know if the wheels I'm looking at are "ABS wheels from 88 1/2 or later? I have an 86 Mondial Cab that has the 390's. Pic attached of my wheels. Like the look of these, just want a bit more common size...........thanks......Lou

Convex shape markes ABS wheels.........I hesitated to answer, but I thought the Mondial offset was different from the GTB/S....

It IS worthwhile to leave the 390mm "experiment" in the past...LOL!

    Lou,

I like the looks of your wheels too.
And, the Ferrari 16" Convex wheels, will look exactly like the ones you have now.
I got my 16" wheels off of a Mondial T,,, see.

    Ciao,

The first thread below explains a little of the Mondial wheel issue. Your best bet is to find '87-'88 Mondial 16" wheels. After that, you could check if Mondial T wheels would fit - but my dealer and T Rutlands both indicated that they would not. (I think I asked Ricambi too - but not sure.) I hear there are guys on here that have made it work though.

As for the 328 wheels, see the second thread below. If you're going to go with 328 wheels, go for the convex - or what some call "ABS" wheels (although some pre-ABS cars had them too.) Again, check the fittment with someone in the know - as you may need spacers or different bolts to use 328 wheels. 348 wheels definitely require different bolts, but there are other threads on that.

If you can find '87 or '88 Mondial 16" wheels they use the same bolts and fit right up. Best of luck, and please post what you find out as this is a common topic of discussion.

Here's a pic of the ones I'm looking at.....
    Details I've gotten are"
    7 J 16 for front and 8 J 16 for the rears
Tires are 205/55/15 adn 225/50/16 respectively
    Bolt pattern: 5 X 4.25

Tire is the picture has quite a few weights attached....does this indicate somethings wrong with it?
    The rest are fine.

Again, thanks for all the help with this...........Lou

    That's an 88.5/89 ABS wheel

Re wheel weights, they need taking off & putting on the inside of the wheel for a start. It might be that if you rotate the tyre on the rim a bit it will need far less weight. If not its not the end of the world. More important is to check the age of the tyre(s) if you plan to use them

Honestly, I'd say the going price for a set that needs no paint or repair seems to be about $2,000. Others will chime in, but that seemed like the going rate to me while I was actively looking over the past three years. I was lucky enough to get mine recently for less - which you may also be able to as well. If you can do better than 2k I'd say you got a decent deal.

As far as the wheel weights - mine have a ton of weights on them too, and they were installed by a very reputable Ferrari dealer. (My 390 wheels with TRX's on them that is.) Some tires and wheels just need a little more help to balance - and wheel weights may be required on either or both the inside and outside of the wheel.
