1989 uk euro spec car , now in melbourne australia ,
i bought this car in march this year , it is a minter except for the nasty little cracks around the 3 dash vents leather ... what would be the best for this , a trim to go around each vent or to get the leather repaired somehow ?

    great site guys!!!!

    Pictures of the problem?

No offense, but I'm suspicious of a link in the title, can't recall seeing that. Maybe my ipads playing tricks on me though with that.

Probably have no way to really make it look perfect without replacing, I'd think.

The dash isn't leather, it's vinyl If you can remove it yourself you can have it repaired on the cheap.

    Or, buy a dash cover.

+1 and it's not crack, it's just peeling off the edge around the vents.

It sure looks like leather to me. Leather was an option on the 328's. It looks like leather, because it shows the classic light brown color under the black dyed surface.

vp328, to answer your question, there are a few options.
    1. Remove dash and have it re-colored.
    2. Try to just touch up around vent with leather dye.
    3. Recover it with new leather.
    4. Recover it with vinyl. Better do arm rests to, as they should have matching leather to dash.

This isn't a common option, so it might be hard to find someone here who has dealt with this.
