    I'm assembling a set of 308 QV heads and it seems that my 308QV and 328 manuals both show the specs for the 2 valve springs which are WAY different than the 4 valve springs. The specs I have show 42.1 mm free length and 25.5 mm coil bind on the outer spring. The 4 valve spring is significantly shorter than this. It should be around 33.5 mm with valve closed. I have checked online manuals and they are the same as what I have. If you have anything different it would help me out a lot! I need installed height and pressures.

    In my 308 manual I've got the QV spring as 38.46 free, 21.45 coil bind. My QV/328 book says 42.1/25.5. Neither matched what was in the engine.....I can't find my notes though. I replaced them with a crame cams mg miget spring set and they were about perfect, they add more seat pressure with about equal nose pressure which was exactly waht I wanted with the blower. I think they are discountinued now though.

    Here are the full specs from the 308/QV book
    large spring
    free=38.46mm
    installled= 34mm, 17.99kg
    open=25.3, 53 kg
    bind=21.45mm

    small spring
    free=35.37mm
    installed = 31mm, 8.69kg
    open= 22.3mm, 26kg
    bind=19.58mm
