    Anyone recommend a good A/C shop in the north area to flush/refill w/r-12 my a/c? (I know Dave Helms is one...but really didn't wanna bother him w/this)

    I have the exact same need- I hope someone knows someone that can do it, maybe even a mobile guy. (I didn't want to bother Dave either)

    Steve, I am asking around alot... I have removed alot of the shrouds in the RF area of my car so the hoses/condenser/drier/expansion valve can be easily accessed..(check for leaks, especially since I'm staying with R-12) I decided to replace the expansion valve & rec/drier too. Checking out the shops..talking to owners...etc

    We are both on the North end I will post what I find...& hopefully we will get others to chime in...

    Did you check with FOD?

    They seem to take good care of me and from what I have seen are cheaper than Dave (they give a nice car club discount!).

    Talk to Jeff in service he will take care of you!!

    Brent, thank you but I was trying to stay up in the North area & thought this route first... I think spiderseeker is attempting the same..(correct me if I am wrong). I know Jeff is a good hand & would pick up the car too..

    Just exploring "options".. LOL
