328 ac compressor

Maybe I have a leak in the compressor circuit ac.
You know what compressor to use for 328 gts 1987 ?
My mechanic doesn't find the leak and he says that if it is in the compressor it is better to change it, but I would like an original solution.
What's your experecience?

My York compressor in my 1987 leaked at the shaft seal. I replaced the seal almost two years ago and it is still working fine.

 

My 86 euro has a sandsen sd 507

 

A new compressor is not expensive and they deliver it to your door..

Yes if it's for the USA. It has a slightly larger displacement than the factory unit but is the same physical size and has the right fittings in the right places. I have this one installed in my '88 328.

NOTE: You may be able to get one sooner by going to NAPA but theirs are rebuilt.

 

I'm in Europe, I don't know what kind I have... what the possible other solution?

 

Look at post # 3, that is likely the compressor you have, a Sanden SD 507.
