My OEM hoses started leaking refrigerant about a year ago and I plan to replace them. As part of the project I installed a Sanden-type compressor in place of the OEM York.

SO I have two questions: What brand/length of barrier hose have folks successfully used and what fittings are the appropriate ones for the hose/Sanden? I have ordered fittings previously for various projects and, frankly, I seem to order incorrectly about as often as I get it right so I'm hoping someone can tell me how many feet of whatever kind of hose and what specific fittings to buy!

    Mike,
I like the Vintage Air hose and fittings. Easier to install and smaller ext diameter. Fittings don't require an expensive tool and are reusable. Pulling the new hoses is a real joy:)

I looked at the vintage air website but it appears to me that all the fittings are beadlock which seem to require a crimping tool. Am I missing something?

How did the Sanden compressor retrofit go? The York mounting is a nightmare to deal with.

Sanden and belt went on with no problem at all with the supplied mounting plate, The compressor is not connected to the refrigerant lines until I get the new lines/fitting but the clutch spins nicely! :)

Do you know the reference number for the belt that you used? Still need to buy one for my car.

According to my rather sketchy records, it's a Gates 11M875.
