328 AC noise

    I have a high pitch noise( like a bird) when i turn the AC on and it goes up and down with the RPM,but only if the clutch is engaged and the fan is on,i don,t think it is the belt.,AC runs cold

    Check the belt tension, and the belt. If no problem there, then probably the pulley bearing and/or clutch. Could be time to replace the compressor.

    Also check all the mounting bolts that attach to the compressor bottom and top.

    Check the alternator belt. AC puts two loads on the electrical system. One is the blower, the other is the AC clutch.
