Hi everyone, Cleaning the car today removed the original Bosch Autojet II antenna nut/base and the small round "gasket" (plastic/rubber ring) at the base cracked into pieces. Not repairable. Is this part available separately? (not listed in parts book/Ferr UK site) Is the size, etc. relatively standard (i.e. cross-references to Audi/VW/Mercedes/Porsche?) Many thanks for any help, Carl [email protected]
Carl, Those antenna mount gaskets are pretty much standard. They come in a small and large size for the small and large adjustable angle heads. Check either with Bosch or your local auto parts store or go to: http://www.antennaworld.com/ They'll have the part you need. Barry
You're welcome, Carl. A couple of months ago, I repaired my original Autovox antenna on my 1976 GTB. I was lucky and the gasket stayed intact. You might even try going to Home Depot with your mounting head and find the appropriate gasket there. You can trim the inner portion, if necessary. Barry
Thanks again Barry. The 328 uses a Bosch AutoJet II (silver mast/black cap/black bezel) which is essentially OEM unobtanium (Ferr UK does stock, but lists for $770). Antennaworld site appears promising; not sure Bosch even manufactures auto antennas anymore. I'll post results of my search for others. Carl
Carl, My extensive search for the elusive Bosch Autojet II came to the same conclusion as you. Ferrari UK has some new, old stock, at NOS prices (!), and that is it, they are long out of production. There is a new Bosch Autojet , but is cosmetically different, and fully automatic in operation. I ended up finding a nice semi-auto antenna from www.antennaworld.com, and then converted it to black from their spare parts list. The black mast looks cool. Not original, obviously. Dave
Hi all The antenna gasket on my 328 is gone too! Have these become available/re manufactured in the 10+ years since the last post on this thread? Cheers Dan
Verell has them. I bought one from him for my Mondial. He makes them. Unobtainium Supply Co. - HOME - Ron Frohock
Thanks!! Btw, for pix of the Unobtainium heat & chemical polyurethane Autojet II antenna gasket, see the end of this thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/47375-antenna-molding-308-a.html & yes, I can mail it to 'Down Under'...
Many, many thanks Verell. The Unobtainium part arrived and I fitted it today. EXACTLY what I wanted. Highly recommended. I will some pics of old and new soon...
