328 at Mecum Auction

Hey everyone, There is a 1986 328 GTS coming up for auction on May 17th here in Indianapolis, IN. They say it is part of the Jim Ray collection. The VIN is not listed there is a possibility that I can see the car and get the VIN a day or two before the auction. Has anyone here heard of Jim Ray and this car and do you have any suggestions as to how I can find out more information. I do appreciate your input.
