I need some advice on my 87 GTS. I just notice that the 328 badge on the rear of my car is gold, where as all of the other 328's I've seen have a black badge. I have detailed maintenance records since the car was new, but no record of a replacement badge. As best as I can tell the car is completely original.

Any idea on why the 328 is gold and not black?

My serial number is 69249. The edge of the badge is also gold, it does not appear to be faded black but plated/painted gold. So it seems Ferrari used Black, Silver and Gold 328 badges?
