As I recalll from my ex-1986 328, the brakes are ATEs which you can get them at most Brake-Os or other barke repair shops...

We've recently gone through the exercise of sourcing brake rotors for our 328. Apparently there is no difference between ABS and non-ABS models and although the calipers are ATE units that are also used on other cars, the rotors appear to be unique to the 328. Rotors are Brembo units and you should be able to find several sources for them by doing a quick google search or similar. Price will be around US$2-250 each for fronts (don't know about rears, sorry).

As far as calipers and pads go, the front brakes are the same as those used on early Porsche 928s and the rears are the same as those used on the fronts of 2.0 litre Ford Sierras (and several other Fords).

If shipping heavy rotors internationally wasn't such a price killer we would have been buying through one of the site sponsors, instead we privately imported the rotors and shipped them with a whole heap of other stock through a friend in the motor industry to reduce shipping costs.

There are a number of pads that will work.

The tricky thing is the rotors. Rotors from Ferrari are unholy expensive... $400 per rotor.

There are a number of after market suppliers of rotors. I know Brembo makes something that worked on 308s that was same or close to stock. After marker resellers would slot or drill to specifications.

Check with our sponsor Ricambi America first....
You might also try http://www.interautoparts.com/ for the rotors. bigheaddennis says they have great prices on Brembo rotors...at least for his 355.

Thanks for the follow up. BTW, how "bad" are your rotors? Do they judder with normal braking around town?

I'd say you could probably "turn" these once to get some add'l life out of them.

Have you called around for any brembo suppliers to get some aftermarket vs OEM rotors?

Are those slotted or drilled, or are they the unmodified brembos?

Try TRutlands in Tucker GA for the brakes--and be careful you get the right ones--some 328's are ABS and some are not.

porterfield also sells rotors. $215 for the 328.
cross drilling +$29, slotting +$40, cryo treating +$25

I seem to recall asking them why the fcar rotors were 2x the porsche ones, and they said something about having to pay ferrari a fee.
