    Looking re do the carpet in my 328 gts. Given the correct carpet roll is 40 " wide ...does anyone know how much length i will need of that roll . I intend to replace all the carpet .

    Any one who has re carpeted , your input muchly appreciated

    Or you could just call GAHH and get the correct material, the correct color, cut and sewn to fit and just glue it in.

    in fact , i am buying the carper from them , but my car is right hand drive , and located in Malaysia , and they only do left hand drive sets ! they have the superior carpet quality , but alas , only left hand drive , and mine is a euro spec righty .... all be it , very far away .

    no, absolutly no one can give me an answer . I just cant access my car this week , but being in Australia I can buy the carpet

    Having used GAHH a couple times recently, I can say that their carpets leave a lot to be desired. The patterns are not that close and require trimming and adj., more like ehhh this will do. All the edges are bound, I've yet to find a single carpet kit supplier that actually sews the carpet together like the factory pieces. So what you end up with is bulky joints and seams, unless you stitch it together after test fitting and adjusting.

    So honestly custom is probably the way to go, having the stock carpet gives you the all the patterns you could need.

    P.S. lakewell in Belgium also has carpet kits, trunk kits too. While also not sewn the pieces are practically spot on to the factory ones, the backing is stiff and it conforms to the curves while not sagging in the slightest. A 1000X better then GAHH's. The backing will conform to the shape really well when steamed as well.

    Vic's upholstery in Van Nuys California can make these for you. Great guy to deal with very reasonable pricing and will make a mirror image of what you send him. Very happy with what he did on one of my 308's. Other F-chatters have used him also!

    IIRC, $700? He did my complete interior for the 82 GTSi, Wilton Wool and all pieces bound. Definitely Will have him redo my 77 Lotus Esprit when this project is complete. Don't want too many vehicles tore apart in the shop at once. Plus, one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with.

    i have a great trimmer here in malaysia who copies the original carpet and leather as factory , he has done my other car beautifully , carpet and recreate the entire seats and doors leather . my second car needs red interior carpet , for which there is no quality carpet avail here ... so ordeing what i thought is a very nice quality carpet from gahh ( they sent a sample which was rich and thick and deep pile like factory) il create my own ... just no one can say how much i need ..... above is before ( wrong colour for factory ) below the after.
