How do you get to the door hinges to adjust them? Do you have to remove the door panels?
I am a little confused as to what hinge(s) you are talking about. Do you mean #32 in this diagram? http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_catalogs.php?M=FE&P=&V=diag&I=2437 Why do you need to adjust the hinges? Sagging door, not not staying closed?
To remove door panels remove internal door handle by removing the 2 small screws toward the front of the door handle, exposing the 2 large screws holding the handles to the door, undo those screws and remove the handle. Go around the door panel edges, remove all screws attaching the panel to the door. Unscrew the lock knob and remove it Remove any door speakers you may have Unsnap the door panel away from the door and remove.
I think these are welded to the door frame. Could be wrong though. AFAIK the only way to adjust is either by shimming the body side of the hinge (if you can get the bolts undone which is unlikely) or placing a jack under the read end of the door and jacking it up. Yes this is a semi-official method and works! I have seen a respected F specialist do this. There are also posts on here from people who have done it.
The way to realign the door is from the body side where the hinge bolts to the A pillar, if you remove the cover panel (2 screws) and carefully unclip the door light switch you can get to them easily. Think about what your trying to achieve first, door alignment takes a little time to get right, little changes on the hinge make a big change to the latch side, once you are happy with the door position you will need to line up the latch on the cars B pillar, you can shim this latch but it should not be nessasary. I think here is a nice discussion on topic: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/304298-328-door-sag-repair.html
Note on the late 328 if you put the door trim back on and incorrectly route the latch cable, when you wind the window right down it catches on the cable, pulls it and the door opens! Dont ask me how I know this....
Easiest way to fix a sagging door (usually caused from some fatass pulling themselves repeatedly out of the car using the door as a crutch) is a floor jack placed underneath the door with the door almost closed. A long piece of wood between door and jack, obviously. Seriously. It is never shown to customers, but is a normal Ferrari shop fix. At least in Scottsdale. I practice using my leg to lift my body during an exit , and insist passengers use their leg also. Doug
