Hi everyone, My 1988 328 GTS passenger door will not close. It's always required a harder push to close it than the driver's side due to the rubber seal on the body. The latch mechanism etc seems to work fine. Anyone have any tips or tricks to solve this problem?
Maybe it's time to check and register the door alignment and/or check the rubber seal positioning (and change the rubber as it has become too hard) . ciao
If its like the mondial you have a pin sticking out from the door frame, this has an allen screw head in the centre. If you loosen this a turn the pin will float and you can move it to adjust door closing point
Thanks Mike, I will take a look. There is indeed a pin, will check for the allen screw and try it out.
Thanks for your input guys. I sprayed the latch with WD 40, clicked the latch open and close a few times and BAM!! She's fixed. Door closes beautifully. Really appreciate your input guys
