Hi fellers, As some of you may know, I have a 1987 328 GTS (U.S. Version) and I seem to have developed a drooping driver's-side mirror. It has suddenly gotten quite loose and, as such, if left to its own devices, now wants to rest flush against the body (driver's-side door) Do any of you fine chaps have an inkling as to how to tighten it back up? I was kind of cautiously fiddling around with it but didn't wanna eff things up further. I have now placed a soft cloth between the mirror and and paint, for obvious reasons. As always, any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Cordially, Scott
There is a plastic rectangelar piece, pry it out carefully with a small screw driver, then tighten the allen bolt.
Yes, with carefully being the operative word. I'm sure those pieces are easy to break and hard to replace.
